Conclusion

Mucormycosis is an aggressive fungal infection with high morbidity and mortality, especially in immunocompromised patients. Early detection and diagnosis are crucial for improving outcomes, as delays in intervention often lead to rapid disease progression and poor prognosis.

The radiologic correlation with clinical findings is essential for prompt surgical debridement and initiation of antifungal therapy, which are the mainstays of treatment.
