Dose management systems (DMS) are fundamental quality assurance instrument for patients' radiation exposure optimization purposes (1). ESR EuroSafe Imaging (2024) survey reports limited distribution globally, mainly because of IT support lack and high costs. Currently, <5 hospitals in Bulgaria have DMS, due to high cost (2).The purpose was to design and develop Bulgarian DMS, BulDose, jointly with the largest provider of Bulgarian PACS solutions. After successful test period, it will be provided for free to >70 hospitals using the Bulgarian PACS solutions.
