BULDose is the first Bulgarian dose management system (DMS) that was developed within the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) supported National TC Project BUL9026 - Enhancing National Capacity for Ensuring Radiation Protection of Patients Undergoing High Dose Medical Imaging Procedures. BulDose was designed by a group of medical physicist for automatic registration, recording and tracking of patient exposures, daily dose monitoring, clinical image quality, frequency of examinations, and workload of departments and medical facilities. The purpose of BULDose is to facilitate patient radiation dose management, quality assurance and optimization in medical imaging. The system was designed to support automatically monitoring of all radiological examinations in a given department or hospital. It is able to collect automatically and to facilitate the data evaluation regarding patient dose related parameters, patient demographics, and other types of data.
