BulDose is web-based platform, requiring minimal local hardware and low costs, allowing to be installed in most of the hospitals in Bulgaria. Its availability is expected to improve the optimization of patients’ radiation protection in our country. As a future development, BuLDose could also be used to automatically send data to the national patient dose surveys web-based platform and to be part of the development of the national electronic patient records. Dose management systems are considered as an essential tool for ensuring regulatory compliance and for improving the efficiency of quality assurance programs.
