Conclusion

The frequent appearance and overlap of the imaging features of cysts lungs promote the important role of the radiologist to recognize the different patterns to differentiate each of the pathologic entities in order to target the best treatment. As discussed in this poster, an effective way to facilitate the correct diagnosis of cyst entities is through the use of a simple and clear radiological diagram. The first step is to differentiate between a true lung cyst and a cyst-like lesion. Once we have established that we are dealing with a true lung cyst, we will follow a systematic diagram in which we will divide it into solitary, multiple-localized and multiple-diffuse cysts. In the case of multiple-diffuse cysts, we must identify other related findings, such as nodules and ground-glass opacities.
