This prospective descriptive study was done in radiology department of Rehman Medical Institute Peshawar. MRI was performed on 1.5t MRI. Patient was laying supine with head postioned in the head coil and immobilized with the help of cushion, placing the laser beam localizer on the glabella.
Dedicated MRI Orbit protocol was followed including three plane localiser in the begining to localise and plan T2 FATSAT, T1WI and post contrast T1 FATSAT sequences. Additional imaging of brain was done with FLAIR and DWI/ADC sequences. Radiologists with more than five years of experience in the field reported the MR images/ Each scan was assessed for following structires: The orbit including the eyeball with its vireous, tenons capsule, preseptal compartment, the retrobulbar orbital fat, extra ocular muscles and the lacrimal gland. The visual pathway including the optic disc, chiasma, tracts and optic radiations. Normal-appearing white matter was used as a reference to assess abnormal signal changes.
