We included patients with SSNs who underwent surgical resection for lung adenocarcinoma or precursor glandular lesions from February 2005 to December 2018. SSNs were reclassified into "simple" and "complex" categories, which differed from the previous classification of pure ground-glass and part-solid nodules. CT imaging characteristics were evaluated by two junior radiologists and one senior radiologist. Disease-free survival (DFS) rates were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method, with group comparisons using the log-rank test. Predictors associated with the EGFR mutation status were determined by using logistic regression analyses and performances were validated by receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) curve analysis. Prognostic factors associated with disease-free survival (DFS) for patients with SSNs after surgery were identified by using Cox regression analyses and performances were conducted by time-dependent ROC curve analysis.
