To evaluate intra-observer and inter-observer consistency in FT measurements between two observers and to compare whether there were differences in FT for the same site across different postures, ultrasound was used to measure FT across 10 sites throughout the body in 82 participants in routine and special postures, including 45 men and 37 women. Then, body fat mass (BFM) was measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis (BlA). Additionally, fat thickness was remeasured at Site 7 (posterior upper arm) and Site 8 (subscapular) in the prone posture; and, fat thickness was remeasured at Site 10 (posterior lower leg) in the lateral, prone, and seating postures, as depicted in Figure 1.
