Conclusion

Fetal abdominopelvic cysts can originate from many structures and have a broad differential diagnosis. When a cystic abdominal lesion is detected for the first time it should undergo a detailed ultrasound exam and then a fetal MRI is helpful in characterizing the etiology. This poster provides an illustrated guide that may help radiologists specify the ultrasound finding of an abdominopelvic cyst.
