Conclusion

3T MRI without DLR demonstrated superior SNR and CNR compared to 1.5T MRI with DLR. A stronger negative correlation between SNR and FT was seen with 3T MRI, however the difference was not statistically significant.

Clinical Relevance/Applications: Although image quality at 1.5T MRI may improve with DLR, it should not replace 3T MRI at this time given the superior SNR and CNR of 3T MRI.
