Conclusion

Zero echo-time (ZTE) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) sequence is the newest imaging technique aiming to image cortical bone and calcific structures without using ionized radiation. Thanks to the ZTE sequence, radiation-free CT-like images obtained with silent scanning, artifact resistance, and short acquisition times offer significant advantages for pediatric patients, pregnant patients, metastasis screening, and patients with genetic disorders who should avoid radiation exposure. The capability to acquire thin-section images similar to CT, utilize in the whole-body MRI, and obtain MRI images from ultra-short T2 tissues in patients without prior CT images offers significant advantages.

This technique holds great potential for our planet, being completely free from harmful radiation. With the development of artificial intelligence tools, All-in-One MRI will be used in more centers soon.
