Purpose or learning objective

Pregnancy – a physiological state, where physicians take care of two lives at the same time. Hence, choosing the proper radiological investigation is difficult.

This article aims to:

  • dispel common misconceptions,
  • give a clear overview of the benefits and drawbacks of each radiological study, and
  • present the diagnostic algorithms for the most common pregnancy-associated pathologies.
