Conclusion

This scenario shows how clinicians and radiologists can manage a very subtle and versatile case. ALARA conception has to be kept in mind. However, this doesn’t mean that if a pregnant patient underwent radiological investigations, especially those that require ionizing radiation, pregnancy should be interrupted.
