When thinking about abnormalities of the pulmonary arteries, pulmonary embolism (PE) is what first comes to mind. Being the third most common cause of cardiovascular death worldwide, PE is not surprisingly one of the most frequent reasons for requesting radiological evaluation. However, there are less frequent alterations, congenital or acquired, that could present with similar symptoms and radiological findings as PE and radiologists should be familiar with these entities as well.
