The approach to the terminal Peroneal artery through a novel technique has been recently described in the Annals of Vascular Surgery(1). In the paper, the authors reported new anatomical and radiological findings related to the course of the terminal Peroneal artery and what the author named as the Terminal Peroneal Window (TPW). These new anatomical and radiological findings were crucial in developing a new technique (The Slim Surgical Access) to access the terminal part of the peroneal artery for limb salvage bypass surgery in selected patients with critical limb ischaemia. The aim of this study is to assess whether the anatomical description of the terminal Peroneal artery course and the TPW are consistent in all people, or whether these reported cases were abnormal anatomical variations.
