Conclusion

RAE appears to be a safe and effective alternative for the management of internal hemorrhoids, offering:

  • High technical success (100%)
  • Significant improvement in bleeding control, pain relief, quality of life, and prolapse grading
  • Acceptable reintervention rate (14%)

While these findings are promising, larger comparative studies (RAE vs. surgical hemorrhoidectomy) and long-term data are required to establish definitive guidelines and determine whether RAE should be incorporated as a first-line or second-line therapy. Further research on cost-effectiveness and optimal patient selection criteria will help in refining clinical practice.
