Conclusion

In axial spondyloarthritis, the specific signs present on a plain radiography play a fundamental role in diagnosing, monitoring the disease and starting the early treatment of the patients.

Conventional radiography continues to be the gold standard to evaluating patients with suspected axial spondyloarthritis. The key radiographic spinal signs present in ankylosing spondylitis and psoriatic arthritis help both the clinicians and the patients to stand up straight with axial spondyloarthritis.
