Conclusion

CTA is essential for diagnosing AAA and evaluating the risk of rupture. The goal is to identify fragile AAA and promptly refer patients to surgical treatment, before progressing to complications. Therefore, it is of utmost importance for radiologists to be familiar with the key CT findings indicating aneurysm instability and aortic wall breach.
