CRP is associated with the severity of acute diverticulitis in all cases examined. On the other hand, neutrophil values and NLR are associated with the severity of acute diverticulitis in cases staged according to WSES. At access to ED, neither higher CRP values nor a higher NLR have been shown to be associated with patients’ outcome.
