The ROC curve analysis was used to assess the diagnostic ability of each parameter:
- Amond the measured parameters, CSA AT INLET had AUC = 0.911 with a 95% confidence interval which is the best predictor of the CTS. Using Youden's Index, the optimal cutoff of CSA 10 mm2 at the inlet was derived, at this cut-off, it had a specificity and sensitivity of 76.6% and 96.6%.
- Among the derived parameters, WRIST FOREARM DIFFERENCE had AUC = 0.756 with a 95% confidence interval which is the best predictor of the severity. Using Youden's Index, the optimal cutoff of 2 mm2 was derived, at this cut-off, it had a specificity and sensitivity of 95% and 56.67%.
The Best paramters in terms of:
- Specificity (100%) and Positive predictive value (100%) - Vascularity score
- Sensitivity (90%) and Negative predictive value (87.5%) - Flexor retinaculum thickness
- Diagnostic accuracy (90%) - Vascularity score
