Background

A bibliographic review of the endovascular treatment of chronic subdural haematomas is carried out, focusing on their physiopathogenesis, the procedure and the results reported in the latest experimental studies published as well as those of our own centre. To this end, we analyse the 28 cases of embolisation of the middle meningeal artery that have been carried out in our institution since March 2023 to date, both for prophylactic purposes as an adjuvant to surgery and for curative purposes.
