Background This educational exhibit is structured around placental MRI, emphasizing study protocol, normal anatomy, and systematic interpretation. A three-compartment model placenta, myometrial interface, and extrauterine cavity was applied to organize the assessment and highlight key imaging findings. Representative clinical cases, selected from a high-complexity diagnostic imaging center in Bucaramanga, Colombia, are used to illustrate normal variants and the most frequent pathologies. Other cases are from literature.  Emphasis is placed on imaging sequences, acquisition timing, and diagnostic pearls that improve reproducibility and reader confidence.
