Results
            • 100% questionnaire return rate.
            • 92% hospitals surveyed had RRs.
            • Majority (91%) report plain film images (PFI).
            • 1,440,082 reports issued by RRs in 1 year period.
            • Figure 1 shows demographics for RR workforce.
            • Figure 2 shows AfC bandings for RRs. 79.2% = Band 7.
            • Figure 3 shows total number/% hospitals in NWE with RRs by modality and in rank order: majoirity PFI>fluoroscopy>mammography>CT>DXA>MRI>nuclear medicine>IR.

            • Qualifications. Figure 30 shows qualification trend data: Majority RRs had a Postgraduate Certificate in image reporting (90%). Few (10%) went onto further study (Postgraduate Diploma/MSc). Award titles differed across England and some managers reported that this was confusing regarding scope of practice, particularly when RR moved employment between hospitals.
