Rheumatic foot disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis and gout are among the leading causes of significant damage to both soft tissues and bone structures when not promptly recognized and effectively treated. MRI, CT, ultrasound, and conventional radiography play crucial roles in establishing an accurate diagnosis.
Due to its wide accessibility, conventional radiography remains indispensable for clinicians in order to early diagnose those diseases that affect the foot and to start the early treatment of the patients.
