Despite being rare, the diagnosis of diffuse leptomeningeal glioneuronal tumour should be considered in children with widespread meningeal enhancement and infiltration either with or without the classically described subpial cysts. As differential diagnosis includes a wide variety of infectious and neoplastic aetiologies, clinical correlation and an appropriate degree of suspicion for this neoplasm should be considered in patients with widespread meningeal thickening and enhancement who do not respond to antibiotic therapy.
