Purpose

This study reviews the literature to investigate and compare the characteristics of inversion recovery (IR) sequences in MRI protocols for epilepsy. The aim is to summarize how different IR sequences, such as Fluid-Attenuated Inversion Recovery (FLAIR), Double Inversion Recovery (DIR) and others, contribute to the detection of epileptogenic lesions and assess their effectiveness in clinical applications.
