Conclusion

Neurocysticercosis is a widely prevalent disease within the developing world and a leading cause of epileptic seizures. Radiologists should be familiar with the imaging characteristics of this parasite throughout its lifecycle and various rare complications which may result from infection, some of which may be fatal if not recognised and intervened upon.
