Background

Hoffa’s fat pad (HFP) may be involved in various pathologies and present as one of the causes of anterior knee pain due to its rich nerve supply. While these pathologies are commonly seen on MRI, it is essential to be aware of the wide range of normal variants and pathologic conditions affecting the HFP and their clinical significance.
