Conclusion

A precise evaluation of the thoracic aorta is essential in patients with Marfan syndrome. In this study, we investigated additional parameters beyond aortic diameter, all of which demonstrated statistically significant differences between Marfan patients and the general population. Notably, the ascending aorta diameter showed the least statistical significance. Therefore, we recommend prioritising the most significant parameters over the ascending aorta diameter when reporting CT aortography in Marfan patients.

Additionally, we recommend further research focusing on the top three parameters, with a larger patient cohort, to strengthen the validity of these findings.
