Background

Following the advent of colonoscopy, the use of contrast enema in adult radiology has declined in significance. On the contrary, contrast enema continues to be highly in demand in the field of Pediatric Radiology. Lower intestinal series or contrast enema is not only a valuable diagnostic tool, but also occasionally, a therapeutic radiological technique that is employed in different clinical scenarios across pediatric patients.
