Conclusion

-Systemic imaging approach of splenic lesion helps in accurate delineation of benign lesions and proper selection of indeterminate lesion there by limiting unwanted intervention.

-To aid in diagnosis and develop an appropriate differenctial diagnosis , a stepwise approach can be used. This involves first determining whether the lesions are solid or cystic, followed by assessing whether they are solitary or multiple

-A solitary splenic cyst is typically benign and is generally categorized as either parasitic or non-parasitic.

-Solitary solid splenic lesions include benign vascular tumour, such as hemangiomas, and malignant vascular tumors, like angiosarcomas. Among these, hemangiomas are the most common solid vascular tumour.

-Lymphoma is the most common malignant tumor affecting the spleen. However, primary splenic lymphoma  defined as lymphoma limited to the spleen and perisplenic lymph nodes, is rare and accounts for less than 1% of all lymphomas cases.
