Background

Pediatric epilepsy is a heterogeneous condition of variable prognosis due to the plethora of underlying causes. MRI, along with neurofunctional and nuclear studies, plays a crucial role in diagnosis, surgical planning and follow-up for focal epileptic syndromes.

A proposed MR protocole to investigate epileptic symptoms in pediatric population is shown in table 1.
