Background

Altogether 246 accredited events were organized between 12/2016–12/2024. These events were categorized into fields of clinical medical physics: 1) radiology, 2) radiotherapy, 3) nuclear medicine, and 4) mixed (cross-discipline events) and their target audience categorized by European qualifications framework (EQF) for lifelong learning. EQF level 6 courses are generally for entrants to the profession – some are MSc course modules or generalised vendor-based courses. EQF level 7 events allow physicists working towards medical physics expert (MPE) status to gain knowledge and experience. They also allow MPEs themselves to keep up their CPD by presenting and teaching at these events. EQF level 8 events are advanced level and designed to help MPPs gain advanced experience required for achieve MPE status as well as providing MPEs the ability to continue their CPD by participating in these events and/or presenting/teaching at these events.

The events in radiology were also sub-categorized.
