Osteoarthritis is a degenerative multifactorial joint disease associated with a high rate of disability affecting 528 million people according to the WHO report of 2019. Patients suffer from pain, swelling, stiffness, and mobility impairment. Osteoarthritis is characterized by cartilage damage, synovitis, subchondral bone remodeling, and osteophytes which can be assessed through imaging.
