Conclusion

Whole-body MRI is an important adjunct in the diagnosis of IIM. A profound understanding of IIM involvement patterns may allow radiologists to distinguish between IIM subtypes. This in turn equips clinicians with the information required for targeted treatment and prognostic considerations
