To provide a comprehensive overview of neural crest (NC)-derived structures in the trunk and their associated diseases.
- Neurocristopathies affecting the head and neck, including the pharyngeal arch, are well-documented; however, those manifesting in the trunk are equally important due to their frequent occurrence in clinical practice. Understanding the developmental relationships between NC cells throughout the body and their associated diseases helps clarify the concept of several complex diseases like neurocristopathies.
