Conclusion

Ultrasound-guided microwave thermal ablation is an alternative in the treatment of early-stage breast cancer. It is a minimally invasive treatment with few complications, making it very useful for elderly patients, those with high surgical risk (ASA III-IV), or those with other surgical contraindications. The results in our patients are promising, and while long-term studies are necessary to establish recurrence and survival rates, we aim to share our experience over the past few years with approximately 25 patients from our center.
