Background

Radiologists are central to the journey of breast cancer (BC) patients, from the moment of diagnosis through treatment and follow-up. With increasing reliance on advanced imaging modalities such as mammography (Mx), ultrasound (US), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), radiologists provide accurate diagnoses and actionable insights. Their expertise extends to performing image-guided biopsies and guiding surgical planning. Furthermore, radiologists play a key role in multidisciplinary tumor boards (MTBs), collaborating with oncologists, surgeons and pathologists to deliver patient-centered care. Radiologists also face significant challenges, including the need for precision in complex cases and emotional demands.
