To review the main imaging techniques in the setting of Crohn’s disease (CD), their indications and adequate protocols for a sustainable approach, their specificities, and patient preparation. Furthermore, we aim to point out the steps of the systematic analysis of these exams and to help the radiologist in charge orient the clinician towards the predominance of active inflammation or fibrosis.
