Mammography in combination with breast ultrasonography can help suggest some histological types, but histopathological analysis remains essential for the formal diagnosis of these tumors and will therefore determine the treatment options. It is important to discuss these diagnoses of rare breast tumors in multidisciplinary tumor boards and to request histological expert reviews in cases of uncertain diagnoses.
